Furthermore, installing the wrong Sony drivers can make these problems even worse.
Recommendation: If you are inexperienced with updating Sony device drivers manually, we highly recommend downloading the Sony Wireless Adapter Driver Utility.
The sound hear from local system is pretty ok, sometime skips. As im totally dependent on voice chat over the internet, this has been a depressing one. I tried this solution, but I do not have realtek, all it says is that I have a High Definition Audio Device. Also, if liquid had been spilt into laptop, surely only the audio device would not short out as I think it,s built into modem card and my internet works fine and the card is on the bottom of laptop under an access panel which hovers below the mother board and keyboard on a bracket. When I went into the device manager and clicked on view hardware, it told me that it cannot be found. PLZ READ yeah I did exactly this and it kinda half way worked, I could go to volume mixer but when I opened it it said No audio Device installed so I searched a download, installed, and now it says the same thing. Don't go spending cash on software you don't need : O) . well just right click the box and it should say show hidden devices.
Everything I clicked on in the device manager said that. or show disalbed devices, just click that and they should come up and then you just click it and you should have sound!
The Operating System (Vista)holds many drivers itself wich is how other components are working such as your mouse, monitor, video card, etc.
it comes back every now and then for a few minutes or an hour or so and then goes again.
if it is working the sound also disappears if my laptop freezes.
This tool will download and update the correct Sony Wireless Adapter driver versions automatically, protecting you against installing the wrong Wireless Adapter drivers.
