The position will include some research and some engineering.
Prospective applicants should have: • strong academic record with an excellent Ph. degree in computer science, applied mathematics, or electrical engineering, preferably with expertise in one or more of the following areas: machine learning, biological/medical image analysis, artificial intelligence, computer vision; • a good mathematical background; • good programming skills in languages such as C, C , Python and/or MATLAB; knowledge of deep learning frameworks would be a plus.
• publication in one of the major conferences or journals in computer vision and machine learning.
The candidate must have good knowledge of computer vision, and machine learning and be able to implement a real-time code in C or Python.
* Experience Desired: Research experience in one or more of the following areas: machine learning, deep learning, reinforcement learning, and computer vision.The candidate should have experience in utilizing commercial off-the-shelf (COTS) hardware and software packages such as Open CV.The engineer is expected to properly document and present results to enable further growth of future commercial and government ventures. in EE, Computer Science, Applied Math, or related fields * Essential Job Functions: Primary job function is to perform R & D in computer vision, machine learning, and other areas.The qualifying engineer will have the capability of integrating hardware, firmware, and software such as cameras, lasers, LEDs, IMUs on an embedded hardware platform such as NVidia Tegra/Jetson or Intel NUC.Experience with C/C in Linux and parallel programming on GPGPU using Open CL or CUDA is required.
